Better Than Gardening

(I wasn't planning on posting pictures of the babies until they were about 7 or 8 weeks of age; but these are so cute, I can't help myself.) Pete and I used to take photos of our puppies for our records at three, five and then again at eight weeks of age. We soon dropped the five week photo session as the pictures were never very representative. The puppies often looked more like Spaniels than Shelties at that age!
I'd rather play with puppies than weed!
Here is the girl with the full collar at 4 1/2 weeks of age. She is reminiscent of our Starlight Express, and that isn't a surprise as her dam, "Paris" has often mistakenly been called "Sparkle"!
A good reason to slack off!

Oh my goodness Kim they are too cute for words!!! We enjoyed your garden party photo shoot - big time!!! You are right! ... playing with puppies is so much better than gardening. Thank you for sharing the special moment with us. I believe that full collar little girl has a special place in your heart! Take care, Heather

Hey Kim, what a fun way to spend some time with these darlings! Finally we have had a week of rain, and the weeds have exploded! Id rather play with puppies too :)

Heather: Thanks for your comments! We do love the girl with the full collar; she also has the most outgoing personality, so she's hard to resist! How is Lanie?

Jan: He he, I'm a slacker when it comes to weeding...any excuse will do! I'm so glad you've finally got some rain! Hallelujah! You probably need a few months of rain to make a difference in the water table though, right? Hope all is well!!!

Hi Kim, the little one's are so cute.
I am happy that you have them to play with.
I know someone who will be very happy to play with the puppies too :):)

I should have hung around to help you with weeding!! My goodness, Kim, the pups are soooo cute! I mean, can anyone blame me when I turn down a puppy? My expectation is just way too high because of your Shelties. Being a Laureate junkie, finding a puppy here is too tough!

Rui: Come on over! The deal would be play for a bit, weed the garden a bit! It is a good deal!!!

Vanesa: Thanks! It was only their second time outside so they still wanted to stay close to me...I had a lot of really close up pictures that I couldn't use!!!

Julie: Yes, I'm wishing you hung around also...we have lots of weeds. More weeds than flowers! I'm sure you'll find a beautiful puppy, there are many talented breeders in Korea! Let me know when you do!
