Laureate Shelties Blog
A bit of this, a bit of that...with a lot of free spirits.
It was a beautiful sunny and mild day and it has been a few weeks since our guys were last out for a romp. Needless to say, they had a blast.

We have missed both big snowstorms that have hit the East coast of the U.S. It doesn't mean we don't have snow, just the regular amount for this time of year. We're hoping NYC will be all cleaned up by Sunday as Westminster Dog Show is on Monday and Tuesday of next week.

Mother and daughter squabbles. Cocoa on the right loves her mom and always shadows her when they are out for a run.

As always, nothing ever comes of these altercations, if you want to call them that. They just keep on running.

Juno on the right is recently back from a visit with our good friend Brenda. She had a few wild moments of leading the pack in a game of chase...(see also top picture).

Happiness is...

Juno in back, Miley (with Mayer right behind), Emma and Cocoa in the middle and Valerie up front.

In front the beautiful Ch Lynphil's Major Distraction (Bunny) who is here on lease.

Love this shot! Bunny going full out...

Miley...scruffy and needing a bath, but we still love this puppy. She is nine months old now and we hope to have her back out to shows in March.

November 1st and finally some sun! We were delighted to see Petra (Tresta Shelties) again and had a great dinner and sleepover. This morning we put on our boots and headed to the back fields.

Just starting out and they've already been in the ditch...

Stormy loves getting out for a run and gets very silly with us...leaping and grinning.

I am doing things with this blog, that I never did on the website. I am putting pictures of our dogs looking pretty unkempt! Oh dear. So I am going to bury myself in Sheltie (and Poodle) fur for a few days and get them all spiffy. It is supposed to snow for a week starting today, so I might as well be snowed in with my good friends.

Stormy needs the full spa treatment...ears, feet and a good massage with a pin brush! And it is time to do portraits of her. Juno (in front) doesn't carry much coat, and I noticed someone (Bunny) chewed her withers, so she won't see the show ring in awhile. But she needs a bath nonetheless. Gabi is bathed often, as her coat texture changed after she was spayed...she doesn't look too bad. Nova hasn't a stitch of clothes left after her litter. She is low maintenance, but could still use a trim around her ears.

Paris...just a little off behind the ears!

Bath and trim for Valerie and Eva! Eva needs her portrait taken also, so she can be put on our site. In all the photos we have of her she is running amok.

It could be worse; I am just glad they are running in snow and not mud!

Eva spots her mother, Nova, having a roll in the snow.

Ah ha...gotcha!

Nova appears indignant!

Nova is really annoyed with Eva now!
