Mud Pups and Water Rats
Mr Miki starting off the walk in style...
Stormy struggling to get her groove back, while little Lola tries to get in on the action
It was the four older puppies first time out on a walk with the group...
Of course they quickly found the water
If you look closely you will also see spruce branches stuck to their fur...see Miki top right (it isn't poop, honest)
This picture cracks me up with Mayer seeing what is coming and putting on the brakes!
He waited for them to return and taunted them!
Shaking it off
Juno had several episodes of the sillies in the big puddle. The pictures looked a little too wacky to publish, but this one looks much more serious than she was...
Eva the instigator leaping through the deep stuff
Paris following along fell into the trap!
And poor Miki got stuck on a piece of ice which gave away...it took him a second to figure a way out. I thought I was going to have to rescue him, but he was fine.
Finn McMuddy
the Tub o'mud
Corbin and Eva in sync
Early herding instinct...Finn on left, Rehannah and Lola with the very wet Valerie and Miki
Exhausted after a big run...heading for home

Awesome pictures, I love it when they like to play in the water. My second Sheltie loves water not swimming mind you just playing in it and chasing fast moving currents.
As always, I am awed by your photography. You capture the essence of Shelties perfectly.
Everytime I look at your pictures of your pups, I see the Laureate heritage in Bacca - the body type, colouring, even the facial expressions. One day I'm going to take one of your photo's and pass it off as my own! LOL!
Loved this series Kim! Your pictures always make me smile :-) thanks for sharing!
Love the pictures Kim beautiful as always!!! But ohhhh that water looks very chilly!! Mayer had it right....wait for them to come back out!!!!!! brrrrrr :)
Thanks so much for showing us how the pups are developing! My two are pretty wet and smelling a bit doggy from rolling in fresh wet snow today. Your dogs and pictures are so special!
It´s stunning!! all your shelties are a beauty!!! Lovly pics and story!! I enjoy it a lot!!!
Like you said, it's in their genes! Must be spring, more mud than snow :). Love the butts in the air ... yee haw! Those big grins say it all :)
That's a lot of Shelties!
Great pictures!!! One day Im going to get a sheltie that likes water.
AWESOME shots Kim; damn I love and hate spring at the same time!
Happy that summer is just around the corner; HATE doing all the extra "dog laundry" to keep my critters clean!
Thanks for sharing such great shots!
All the best

I always look forward to the group romp shots, and the addition of the older babies is a real plus. Love the shots in which the three youngsters are jammed together (showing their herding instinct).
Clearly they all had a BLAST on their run.
