Scruffy dogs
I am doing things with this blog, that I never did on the website. I am putting pictures of our dogs looking pretty unkempt! Oh dear. So I am going to bury myself in Sheltie (and Poodle) fur for a few days and get them all spiffy. It is supposed to snow for a week starting today, so I might as well be snowed in with my good friends.
Stormy needs the full spa treatment...ears, feet and a good massage with a pin brush! And it is time to do portraits of her. Juno (in front) doesn't carry much coat, and I noticed someone (Bunny) chewed her withers, so she won't see the show ring in awhile. But she needs a bath nonetheless. Gabi is bathed often, as her coat texture changed after she was spayed...she doesn't look too bad. Nova hasn't a stitch of clothes left after her litter. She is low maintenance, but could still use a trim around her ears.

I like your last sentence. Running on snow and not mud.
Well if you take a look at my blog you will see where mine like to run. ON MUD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But shepherds are so easy to maintain. After the dirt dries you just have to colm with the dry shampoo and they look perfect.
They still look beautiful Kim. Mine are running in mud and it isn't pretty the tub is in full use for feet, tail and belly washes and if it was a full mud attach then a complete rinse and light shampoo. But mud makes me think Spring maybe on the way !! Hurrah
The photos are so beautiful you don't even notice that the dogs need a little trim. Such pretty girls, too. Maybe, someday when I get my numbers down a bit, we can talk about a pretty girl (hint, hint).
No snow or mud here in Florida. It's the dry season. It has rained only once or twice since the beginning of the year... and not much before that.
Your shelties are so beautiful :o) I love to see shelties everyday groomed fur and also in show groomed fur :o) I would be very proud to own a Laureate both kempt and unkempt :o)

You have some really stunning shelties here. I love Bunny too. I was stuck between a standard poodle and a sheltie when it came to getting a puppy but chose sheltie in the end, it's nice to see someone with both. :D

Thank you all...we didn't get snow, but rain. So the dogs are all wet yesterday and today. Working away at the ears and the feet...more brushing, less blogging for a little while!
Well Kim dear i have a great suggestion. How about a post with the sequence on how to trim and prepare your sheltie. i sure would love to see that and learn IUUPPPIII.
A suggestion:
First the products
then the raw material ( a Laureate )
After the trimming and so one
and voilá the final result.
Ihihihihihih, know kim must be thinking. Why don't you do that yourself. You also have a blog.
Well darling, let's say i have a LOT to learn and i want to do that with the best :)
