Thank you Pete and Kim !!!! Toyu guys are GREAT !!!!!
GREAT PHOTOS!
I LOVE the toy poo "suspended" in air ... what a great shot! The whippet is so expressive in her eyes and movement ... you've really captured them all perfectly, both of you, what great team work! Pete, would love to know the settings, pleeze? :)Thanks again for sharing!!
Pete posted the following on facebook:
Someone asked what settings we used to get the indoor shots, since we didn’t use a flash. We used the Manual camera setting, as follows: We first set the maximum auto ISO to 1600, then set the f stop to 2.8, then adjusted the shutter speed depending on whether the subject was stationary (usually around 1/50 to reduce the ISO and improve clarity) or moving (either 1/250 or 1/320). We use the Nikon D300 camera, so don’t like to go beyond ISO 1600 as it gets too grainy. Some better cameras, like the D700 and especially the D3s, give usable shots at even higher ISOs, but those are not in our budget.
Thanks to all who commented here and on facebook...we were very delighted with the quality of the photos; once again using our newest lens, the Nikon 2.8 70-200 VR11.

Your pictures are beautiful. I ungraded my acct with Photobucket to high resolution but now blogger wont accept the pictures. Is there a trick? thanks, Diana
Diana to upload the larger files in your Photobucket album copy the "direct link" and then in blogger upload on the right hand side (where it says "or add an image from the web") paste the code. Let me know if that helps...
Kim
That worked thanks. They are still looseing some of thier color and clarity when I load them to blogger even with the high resolution. Im not sure why. Diana
