2009 Year In Review
I thought I'd include in this entry some of my favorite photos taken over the year. It was hard to choose, as we've taken a LOT of pictures this year. Many are great shots, but these are a few that matter to me. This one of Pete with the dogs shows our beautiful Mais Oui demanding affection. We lost this wonderful girl to pyometra this April, so this is one of the last photos of her. On the far left is her dam, Tiramisu who also passed away this year...she was Pete's shadow and constant companion. Lexus, our oldest, not in the photo passed away in April as well.
We also had some happy times to offset the sad moments. Good times with great friends. Showing our Portuguese friends Rui, Paula, Henrique and Isabella our little part of the world. Raising a beautiful healthy litter, a successful ASSA, and travelling in Australia, going to Westminster in NYC, the National in Georgia and visiting with family and friends in Vancouver. Most of all, we enjoyed our quiet moments at our farm with the dogs.
This photo shows that even though we have almost 50 acres, the dogs tend to wrap themselves around my legs! I have an entourage of my old girls that follow me on our walks. It is the boisterous youngsters that will break away from the group and go wild.
Characteristic of our photos this year...muddy, grubby and very happy dogs out on their walks.
Babies...we enjoyed playing with our puppies this year. Emma and Barbie grew up together.
We had a ball with our summer litter...Miley and Maisie (Mayer and Mandy).
Stormy and the deer fly. One of my favorite photos...taken with Brenda's lens.

As far as your Champions for 2009 - Congrats on your successes.
I have to say... I could not help but see the Wheel of Fortune inside my head as I read your Canadian Champion accomplishments - this very tiny voice inside my head say "Pat, I'd like to spin - **cheers for $5,000 *** Is there a letter 'N'? I'd like to buy a Vowel - Is there an "O" LOL!!!!
I would be rich!!! Way to many double letter in my full name.
**sorry... I blame this on lack of sleep...
Reading your blog and seeing the beautiful photos of happy shelties (and poodles!) has always been a bright moment of my day :)
Congrats on all your accomplishments! Wall-e is especially proud of his mom!

I think my favorite of all your spectacular photos this year is your "caught her" showing Eva, Cocoa, Bridgitte and Stormy in the snow. That is a really great shot.
may 2010 have all the highs as 2009and none of the lows.
Such a year for you both, the lows so very low, the highs just phenomenal, and all the "midtones" in between :). I was delighted to help share in some of the highlights, and to just "be there", to help cushion the disappoinments. Congratulations on your many achievements in 2009, and may 2010 bring so much more!!
Hugs,
Bren
P.S. Your stellar photography has been a constant inspiration! The shots you chose to highlight in review are certainly some of my faves, but there were so many more ... looking forward to another superb year!
Happy New Year!
I too have really enjoyed the photos and the ability to "peek in" on your life and dogs. Beauty abounds! Thanks,
Cadie
Hi!
I just came across your blog.
Your pups are really beautiful - actually all your shelties are!
It's nice seeing sheltie pups grow up isnt it?
Please visit our blog when you have time to see our 35day old sheltie pup, Princess Eva.
