Miley's Pup

On November 18th Miley gave birth to three puppies, with only one surviving. It was a heartbreaking night; for Pete, my Mom and myself and for sure, Miley. The two males that followed this girl where fully formed, very large and it seemed they were just a little too long in coming out. It wasn't the kind of labour that you think there is trouble until it is too late. Sigh.
Anyway, must move on and we have a beautiful girl. She is pictured above at 12 hours old.
Pictured today at nine days old, she is 15 ounces and so squeezable!

I hope this singleton turns out as well as our last!

Sorry for your loss. That is just so hard. Your girl looks lovely. I hope she turns out to be everything you did the breeding for.

Oh, she has the sweetest face, so kissable :)... sporting the "family look" already, almost a "mini-Miley":) (((Hugs))) all around!

Oh, so sorry about the loss. Darn it's hard to breed dogs sometimes! They break your heart. Hugs to you and Miley too.

Baby Girl looks very sweet!

It's just too sad that the boys were lost, but she is a pretty wee girlie, and I hope she's everything you wish for.

She's adorable Kim. I can't imagine how hard it was to lose the boys.

It was the worst feeling; like a kick in the gut. Miley was exhausted afterwards and paid little attention to her little girl. Thankfully all that is history. Miley is a wonderful Mom, and hopefully will have a large litter without incident the next time around.
